Touch POS

ActiveOutdoors’ automated licensing sales solutions include state-of-the art touch screen POS terminals. Manufactured to the highest quality standards and designed from the onset to be a retail-hardened device, the POS terminal meets the needs of the retailer and customer, while providing the flexibility and security required to host our applications.

Built around a robust touch-screen thin client computer, the terminal maintains a device mechanical failure rate many times lower than a standard PC solution. With no moving parts, fans, or hard disks, the terminal offers the reliability of an internet appliance and the simplicity of a touch-screen’s user-friendly interface.

The terminal is currently operating in multiple hunting and fishing automation projects, successfully processing millions of licenses and tags for a variety of state clients.

Touch POS can also be installed a self-service kiosk option to enable customers to complete their own purchase. This type of solution may be advantageous at a busy brick and mortar location or as an alternative to additional customer service staff at an agency office.

WebPOS (PC)

ActiveOutdoors’ suite of sales devices intentionally incorporates the ubiquitous PC because it is so universally familiar to users and is readily available to equip retailers – who may already have one at their sales counter. Use of an existing PC can leverage retailers’ limited space and existing Internet connectivity as an efficient, cost-saving advantage.

VeriFone POS

With its popular features, VeriFone devices are still the agent equipment of choice in more projects than any other device. ActiveOutdoors pioneered this solution, and through in-house development and experience has created the largest network of VeriFone license agent terminals. Today, agents appreciate the traditional features - a small footprint, simple linear user interface, and extremely rugged durability – as well as the latest connectivity options (high speed or analog phone line).
