ActiveOutdoors Provides California Department of Fish and Game Online Software Solutions for Sport Fishing Licenses
June 26, 2009 - Today, ActiveOutdoors announces the California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) as its latest client. ActiveOutdoors, a division of The Active Network, Inc, will provide California with an automated licensing system to manage the state's licenses for ocean and freshwater fishing. The new software solution will enable DFG to move from a manual operating process to an automated online system.
For the first time, ActiveOutdoors' software solutions will enable sport fisherman to purchase and print valid California fishing licenses online. Through DFG's website, http://www.dfg.ca.gov, anglers will be able to purchase a variety of fishing licenses and stamps at their leisure. ActiveOutdoors' integrated licensing software will also provide DFG with a central system to easily collect information, process payment transactions, run financial reports utilizing real-time data and streamline daily administrative tasks. DFG plans to expand its online services to hunting licenses in the future.
